Doesn't he just mostly enjoy stag beetles though? I'm glad that you have people around you that enjoy them.

he gets around in the bug world but ya hes a beetle kid lol... i thought he was just an amateur but hes actually pretty serious!!! omg, he caught this super huge fat beetle the other weekend when we went camping, it was so crazy!! it was almost as big as my hand!!!! and it had these huge jaws... whoa!!!! i thought it was going to bite my arm off lol!!!!

Really? I would enjoy seeing your bug journal, Nagisa-kun. Was it really that big that you thought it could bite your arm off?! I'm glad it did not, but that is fascinating!
Did you identify what type of beetle it was?

it was a DYNASTES HERCULES.... A HERCULES BEETLE!!!!
its the longest beetle in the world can can lift up to 850 times their own weight with their GIANT JAWS!!!!! theyre the strongest creature on earth for their size!!!!!!
theyre sexually dimorphic and females have huge bodies but no horns, and the males use their giant horns for fighting mostly lol!!!! their horn is so huge its sometimes even longer than they are which is SOOOO NUTS BECUZ THEY CAN GET UP TO 7 INCHES IN SIZE!!!!!
THEYRE SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

One of those?! They're very large and like you said they can lift a lot of weight. I did not know the fact about the horns though! You taught me something, Nagisa-kun, and that is very interesting. I wish I could have seen this beetle in person!

oh rei-chan i wish u could have seen it too it was the coolest thing ever!!!!! im just glad momo-chan was handling it becuz theyre hard 2 contain for very long and i really wanted 2 draw it! lol
my sketch sux and doesnt do it justice but i think it conveys the hercules beetles amazing strength pretty well, and how regal and powerful it is

I bet your sketch is perfectly fine since you definitely capture things in art class that you enjoy. Much better than my sketches! Next time I come over, I would like to see this.

he put it in a bug keeper 4 awhile but we dont really have a lot that are big enough for bugs THAT big so we had 2 let it go

ill show u! ive been sketching every bug i find here and theres all kinds of stuff u cant see at home!!!!
some of them dont even make sense for this climate i think lol... maybe they crawl in from da forest when no1 is looking
i caught a bunch of bugs!!!! there was this one really cute moth we saw flying by our lantern at night that actually is super poisonous bcuz of the dust on its wings so u cant touch it!!! it was AWESOME!!!!

it didnt really put up a fuss!! hes good at not getting bitten... its not easy u know!!! and when it started getting unruly we just put it in a container with a net around it. a wire one so it wouldnt rip it up with its horn lol

YA I CAUGHT IT!!!! i catch dangerous bugs all da time thats half the fun of it!!!!!
venomous spiders r my favorite spiders ♥ the kind where a bite could stop ur heart in seconds!!!!! so cool

i would die doing wat i love, its not a bad way 2 go
unless it was one of the ones that shuts down ur organs and liquefies ur flesh little by little, then it would be slow and bad and painful

I have a book about the proper way to catch harmful bugs, even if they aren't aggressive ones, they could still be dangerous if not properly handled!
